Cline was Dordt’s starting shortstop for four seasons and finished his senior season with a .407 batting average, 61 hits, 19 doubles, nine homeruns, 46 runs scored, 17 stolen bases and 24 runs batted in. Cline leaves Dordt as the career leader in doubles, triples, stolen bases and total bases. His 18 career homeruns ranks 2nd all-time; his 93 runs batted in are 5th all-time; his 192 hits are 3rd all-time and his .390 career batting average is 3rd all-time. Cline was a 2021 first-team All-GPAC selection and 2019 honorable mention pick.
Cline graduates from Dordt with a 3.71 cumulative grade point average and a degree in engineering. He’s the first Defender baseball player to claim this honor since Cam Gingerich was voted to the second team at the conclusion of the 2017 season.
