(Tuesday, May 24, 2022; Sioux Center, Iowa) Olivia Large, a senior at Unity Christian High School (Michigan), has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender golf program.
Large averaged in the mid-40s this past season and finished 13th at her conference meet. A multi-sport athlete, Large earned a total of eight varsity letters during her career.
“I really enjoyed my visits to Dordt and especially liked the Christian environment and all the people who I was able to meet. I also appreciate the opportunities that are available at Dordt both academically and athletically,” said Large.
Olivia is the daughter of Forrest and Jennifer Large of Hudsonville, Michigan. She plans to study business at Dordt.
Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
