(May 19, 2022 – Sioux Center, Iowa) – Ethan Larsen, a senior at Greene County High School has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender track and field program.
Larsen competed four years for both the Greene County High School track and field and cross country teams. He was part of a team that won back-to-back district titles and has personal bests of 24.01 in the 200m, 2.11 in the 800m and 58 seconds in the 400m.
“Dordt is a very welcoming place and felt like a home away from home,” said Larsen.
Larsen is the son of Jarred and Melody and plans to study pre-medicine at Dordt.
Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
