Kraemer Named To Academic Honor Team

(Thursday, May 12; Sioux Center, Iowa) The 2021-22 Academic All-District Softball Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom and Dordt’s Abby Kraemer (Junior; Alta, Iowa) is a first-team Academic All-District honoree.

Kraemer finished the season with a 16-10 pitching record, a 1.24 earned run average and 204 strikeouts.  She led the league in earned run average and strikeouts and has the two highest single-season strikeout totals in program history.

Kraemer has completed three years at Dordt and has a 3.54 cumulative grade point average and she is studying agriculture.   

Kraemer will now be on the Academic All-America ballot with those honor teams announced on Tuesday, June 7.
