(Friday, April 29, 2022; Sioux Center, Iowa) Logan Woodruff, a senior at Greene County High School (Iowa), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender track and cross country programs.
Woodruff has personal bests of 17:59 on a 5,000 meter cross country course, 10:40 in the 3200 meters ad 4:50 in the 1600. He has earned academic all-conference honors twice and his team’s runner of the year honor four times. He was his conference’s 3200 meter champion and 1600 meter runner-up.
“I feel as though I have much room to grown I many ways ranging from academics, athletics and my faith,” said Woodruff.
Logan is the son of Mike and Jennifer Woodruff from Jefferson, Iowa. He plans to enter the pre-dentistry program.
Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
