(Wednesday, October 13; Sioux Center, Iowa) The Dordt Defender football team is 18th in the most recent NAIA Coaches’ poll released late Monday, October 11.
The Defenders have a 4-1 record at the midpoint of the season and have won four games in a row, most recently dropping Mount Marty 63-21 in GPAC play.
Dordt totaled 157 points in the balloting and is three points behind Faulkner (Alabama) and Dordt was 19th in last week’s polling. The poll is voted on by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences.
Lindsey Wilson, the defending NAIA National Champions are rated no. 1 in the polling with a 5-0 record while Northwestern and Morningside are second and third in the voting with 425 and 412 points respectively.
Dordt is scheduled to host Dakota Wesleyan on Saturday, October 16 at 1:00.
