(Thursday, July 22; Sioux Center, Iowa) The 2020-21 Academic All-District Men’s Track & Field/Cross Country Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizing the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and the classroom, has been released and Dordt’s Matthew Van Eps (Senior; Prinsburg, Minnesota) is on the list.

This is the second year in a row Van Eps has earned the honor and will now be on the ballot for CoSIDA Academic All-American honors.  Van Eps ends his Dordt University track and field career with five NAIA National Championships both as an individual and a relay member and he claimed 11 NAIA All-American honors.  The long-sprint/middle distance specialist was a part of 14 GPAC titles and earned 22 All-GPAC honors through the course of his career.

Van Eps graduated from Dordt in May with a degree in Engineering and a 3.74 grade point average.
