Dordt Hosts GPAC Championships

THE MEET…

Dordt University will host the Great Plains Athletic Conference Championships on Friday and Saturday, February 19 and 20. The pentathlon for the women will begin at 1:00 on Friday and the heptathlon for the men starts at 1:15 that afternoon.  The men’s heptathlon concludes on Saturday with events beginning at 9:00.

Individual field events will begin at 10:00 Saturday morning and the 5,000 meters begins competition in the running events at 2:00 Saturday.

The NAIA has adjusted its qualification standards for the Indoor Track and Field National Championships.  The top-16 performances in each event when the ‘regular’ season ends on February 20 will earn spots in the event to be held in Yankton, South Dakota from March 3-6.
