Byl Picks Dordt Soccer

(Tuesday, June 16; Sioux Center, Iowa) Micah Byl, a recent graduate of Unity Christian High School (Iowa), has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender soccer program.

Byl had five goals and seven assists in 2019 and was named first-team all-conference for the second time in her career.  She also was named honorable mention all-conference during 2017.

"I chose Dordt University because of the community. I am excited to learn and play soccer at Dordt because I can meet incredible people while growing my faith," said Byl.

Micah is the daughter of Dan and Missy Byl of Sioux Center, Iowa.  She plans to study Elementary Education at Dordt.

Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian university rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). 

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
