(Thursday, October 31; Sioux Center, Iowa) The most recent NAIA Men’s Cross Country Coaches’ Top 25 Poll has been released and the Dordt Defenders are 19th in this week’s voting.
Dordt totaled 223 points in the balloting after finishing third at the NAIA Seminole Valley Stampede on Saturday, October 26. The Defenders are three spots lower in the poll than two weeks ago.
The Defenders are one of two GPAC teams in the top-25 with Doane falling one spot to no. 16.
Rocky Mountain (Montana) is just in front of the Defenders with 272 points and Montreat (North Carolina) is behind Dordt with 195 points. Oklahoma City is the top team in the poll and took all 21 first place votes.
The poll is voted on by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences.
The GPAC Championships will be held on Saturday, November 9 in Sioux Center, Iowa. The top-two finishing teams will earn automatic berths to the NAIA National Championship in Vancouver, Washington on Friday, November 22.
