The Waldorf Warriors are 4-5-2 this season and have a 2-3 record against GPAC teams. The Warriors shut out Doane for a win last week and beat Dakota Wesleyan 2-0 on August 24. The losses are a 2-1 setback to Morningside, a 5-0 loss to Briar Cliff and a 2-0 loss to Northwestern.
Waldorf has been outscored 19-13 this season and has been outshot on goal 69-53.
Athos Monteiro has scored four goals along with Guilherme Alencar. Alencar also has a team high three assists and has 13 shots on goal. Raul Guillamon-Bejar has played 830 minutes in goal with 13 goals allowed and a 1.41 goals allowed average with 39 saves.
The Defender men are 3-4-2 this season with wins over Ottawa, Viterbo and Presentation.
Dordt has been outscored 19-11 this season and has been outshot on goal 80-39. Patrick Munsey has scored five goals and leads the Defenders but he will be unavailable for the Waldorf contest because of a red card in the loss to Concordia on Saturday. David Benthem has two goals and Mika de Vin has two assists. Seth Lewison has allowed 19 goals in 850 minutes played for a 2.01 average and he has 56 saves.
Waldorf beat Lincoln (Illinois) on Friday, September 27 with Anthonio Coletto scoring the game winner in the 18th minute. Guillamon Bejar was the winner in goal with 10 saves.
Dordt was on the short end of a 5-0 conference decision with Concordia on Saturday. Dordt was outshot on goal 14-1 and played a man down after Patrick Munsey was issued a red card early in the game for aggressive play.
Dordt leads the series 9-2 with the last meeting coming in 2017 when Waldorf secured a 2-1 win. The Warriors got a goal in the 47th minute of that game and another in the 71st minute. Mason Faucett got Dordt within a goal in the 76th minute but the Defenders were unable to get the equalizer in falling 2-1. Seth Lewison played 69 minutes in goal but had to leave due to injury. He had three saves before leaving the contest.
The Defender men will travel to face Bellevue on Saturday, October 5 in a non-conference game before facing Northwestern on the road on Wednesday, October 9.
