Dordt presents the 2018 results from field studies

The Dordt University Agriculture Department conducted eight field trials to help answer crop producer questions. Mike Schouten, who facilitates the Ag Stewardship Center, worked with Gary De Vries, agriculture department instructor, and Dr. Jeremy Hummel, professor of agriculture, to design and implement the trials.

Students from several classes were involved in the trials, which researched subjects including soybean population, fungicide treatments, and organic corn varieties.

The field trial data are also part of a broader farmer cooperator trails group, which is supported by Iowa State University Extension. The findings are published each spring and are presented at ISU Extension Crop Advantage workshops each winter.
