(Thursday, April 18; Sioux Center, Iowa) Aike Wilting, a student at Bluefield (Prince Edward Island), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender volleyball program.

Wilting was a first-team all-star selection in 2018 and was a U17 Athlete of the Year Prince Edward Island Nominee in 2018.  His team was a silver medal provincial runner-up in 2018 and was third place finisher in 2017.  Wilting is listed 6-3 and played outside hitter, opposite hitter, setter and libero during his career. Wilting competed for the Red Mudd Club.

"Aike comes from a collegiate volleyball family and he will provide depth for us in the outside hitter position.  With his six-rotation game, we see a bright future for him as he enters our program this fall.  Aike has a heart to serve the Lord and serve others.  He will be a blessing to have on our campus when he arrives this August," said Dordt volleyball coach Chad Hanson.

Aike is the son of Hans and Julie Wilting of Clyde River, Prince Edward Island.
