Volleyball Pair Earns Scholar-Athlete Honors

(Friday, April 19; Sioux Center, Iowa) The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that 42 men’s volleyball student-athletes have been named 2019 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes in a release made public on Friday, April 19.  Dordt has two players on the list.

Austen Scammon (Senior; Dayton, Wyoming) and Tyler Postma (Junior; Abbotsford, British Columbia) are both on the list with Scammon claiming the honor for the second time in his career. Scammon will graduate in May after studying Education.  Postma is currently studying Business Administration at Dordt.

In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
