Golf Competes Saturday

The Dordt men’s golf team is golfing at a meet hosted by Midland at Rivers Wild at Blair, Nebraska on Saturday, April 6.

Nearly 65 golfers representing seven schools will compete at the one day event.  Golfers from Midland, Morningside, Northeast Community College, Hastings, Central and Nebraska Wesleyan along with Dordt will comprise the field.

Last Time Out…

Dordt competed at the Blue River Classic on April 2 and 3 in Lincoln, Nebraska and finished 9th in the 19 team field with a two day total of 639.

Kyle Colyn finished in a tie for 14th with a 78-73=151 and Ryan Feauto was tied for 19th going 76-76=152 leading the way.  Eastern Wyoming won the event with a 596 and had the medalist, Gonzalo Arcelay with a 70-73=143.

The Lineup…

Dordt’s lineup for this event will include Kyle Colyn, Will Mulder, Brandon Vande Griend, Ryan Fedders, Graham Howerzyl, Dustin Widman, Logan Visser, Tyler Van Koevering, Andrew Kaemingk and Andrew De Boer.

Colyn has an eight round average of 76.1 this season and Mulder has a seven round average of 75.7 and Ryan Fedders is at 82.5 through seven rounds. Ryan Feauto has golfed in seven rounds and has a 74.85 average but is not in the lineup for the Saturday round.

The Defenders are scheduled to next compete in a match play event with Northwestern on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 9 and 10 in Orange City, Iowa at Landsmeer.
