Bellcock Commits To Dordt

(Tuesday, February 19; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Ryan Bellcock, a senior at East Sac County High School (Iowa), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender basketball program.

Bellcock averaged 10 points and 4.3 rebounds per game for East Sac County this season and is listed as a 6-3 forward.  Bellcock is a three-time third-team All-Twin Lakes Conference selection.  He helped East Sac County to a 16-7 record this season.

"We are happy to have Ryan Bellcock join our basketball program.  He will be successful in the classroom and we look forward to seeing how he develops on the basketball floor," said Dordt basketball coach Brian Van Haaften.

Ryan plans to study Agriculture at Dordt.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). 

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
