Dance Adds Rankin

(Tuesday, April 2; Sioux Center, Iowa) Rose Rankin,  a senior at Van Buren Community High School (Iowa), has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender dance program.

Rankin has studied dance at the LeCygne Dance Academy in Fairfield, Iowa.

 “We are excited to welcome Rose to Dordt College! She is a very sweet girl, and I am excited to see what type of skills and leadership that Rose can bring to the team!” said Dordt dance coach Mel Knoboch.

Rose is the daughter of Dean and Kris Rankin of Birmingham, Iowa.  She plans to study Education at Dordt.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). 

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine,, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
