Dordt will travel to Yankton, South Dakota to face Mount Marty on Tuesday afternoon, April 2 starting at 5:00.
Mount Marty enters play with a 13-15 overall record and a 4-4 league mark. Mount Marty swept Briar Cliff, split with Dakota Wesleyan and Hastings and was swept by Jamestown in GPAC play so far this season.
Makenzi Howard has a .439 batting average with a team high 36 hits and she has knocked in 26 runs and has nine doubles and 15 stolen bases. Melissa Richert is batting .404 while Amber Writer has a .375 batting average and has clubbed a team high six homeruns and has knocked in 39 runs.
Bianca Minor is 4-4 on the mound with a 4.80 earned run average and she has pitched 51 innings with 32 strikeouts. Rylee Denomy is 3-2 this season with a 3.46 earned run average and she leads the team with 55 strikeouts in 52 innings of work. Jill Orwig is 3-5 and has pitched 35 innings and has 23 strikeouts.
The Defenders are 10-9 this season 4-0 in GPAC play after a doubleheader sweep of Dakota Wesleyan last Wednesday night.
Hailey Heeringa is batting .333 this season with 20 hits and four doubles with six runs batted in. Natalie Vos is batting .333 with 11 hits, a triple and 10 runs batted in but will miss time due to an injury against Northwestern. Rachel Evavold has 14 hits with a .326 batting average and she has four doubles. Carley De Roin bats .298 with 17 hits and Marissa Vanden Berg has 16 hits.
Tianna Soodsma is 5-2 with a 1.91 earned run average and she has pitched 55 innings with 33 strikeouts. Natalie Vos is 3-3 with a 2.82 earned run average and she has 27 strikeouts. Rachel Evavold is 2-1 with a 4.50 earned run average in 18 innings pitched with nine strikeouts.

Rachel Evavold (100) and Hailey Heeringa (101) both joined the 100 hit club last week and Marissa Vanden Berg moved to a tie for 19th all-time in hits with her 119th hit last week and she is now tied with Bethany Dykstra, Karla Vander Leest and Wendy Poppema.
With her win on Wednesday over Dakota Wesleyan Tianna Soodsma earned her 42nd win and is 3rd all-time to Ruth Draayer (1985-88) in 2nd with 47 and Dawn Van Kley (2000-03) is on top of the list with 60.
Mount Marty took a sweep from the Defenders in Sioux Center on March 28 of last year with a 3-1 and 3-2 decision. The 3-2 victory came in nine innings for the Lancers. Dordt exacted a measure of revenge on May 4 in the GPAC tournament with a 9-1 decision. In the Dordt win Rachel Evavold had two hits and Tianna Soodsma got the win in six innings of work with one unearned run allowed on five hits, one walk and seven strikeouts.
Dordt will travel to Hastings on Friday, April 5 and Doane on Saturday, April 6 for a pair of doubleheaders starting at 5:00 and 1:00 respectively.
