(Friday, March 8; Sioux Center, Iowa) Gabby Keunen, a senior at Le Mars Community High School (Iowa), has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender dance program.
Kuenen has studied dance at The Turn Around in Le Mars for 16 years and has been a cheerleader at Le Mars for both the wrestling and football programs.
"I am very excited to have Gabby joining us at Dordt next year! Her bubbly personality and her many years of dance experience will make her a great asset to the team next year," said Dordt dance coach Mel Knobloch.
Gabby is the daughter of Kyle and Amanda Keunen of Le Mars, Iowa. She plans to study Education at Dordt.
Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
