Men's Volleyball Set To Play Pair Saturday

Dordt will travel to face Judson and Viterbo on Saturday, March 16 in Lacrosse, Wisconsin. The first match is against Judson at 3:00 and against Viterbo at 5:00. Results will be posted to and and also at .  


Judson is 7-12 this season after a win over North Park on March 12. Javier Arreguin tops the team with 2.55 kills per set and Chase Erwin is good for 2.27 kills per outing with a .225 kill efficiency. Tony Tauilili is the setter and averages 8.69 assists per set and he has 1.09 digs per outing. Noah McConville averages 2.39 digs per set and Chase Erwin leads the team with 20 service aces.  

Judson averages 10.07 kills per set with a .182 kill efficiency and allows 10.12 kills and a .225 kill efficiency for opponents. Judson has 92 service aces and has allowed 93.  Teams get 1.99 blocks per set against Judson and they score 1.38 points per set on blocks.

Viterbo is 2-13 this season and 0-9 in the Chicagoland Athletic Conference. The VHawks are led by Chris Kahler and Jacob Nonn with 3.46 and 3.33 kills per outing. Andrew Lepage is good for 7.43 assists per set. Nonn and Kahler each have 12 ace serves and Andy Roungtakoun leads the team with 2.48 digs per set. 

Viterbo has an 8.85 kills per set average and allows 10.96 kills per contest. Teams have recorded 85 ace serves and Viterbo has 44 aces so far this season.


The Defenders are 4-10 this season and stand 1-8 in the league.

Ben Tiemersma is averaging 3.85 kills per set with a .233 kill efficiency and he has five solo and 14 assisted blocks. Garrett Vander Zee has a 2.85 kills per set average and he gets to 1.50 digs  per set. Shavon Barker’s kill average is 1.07 and he has 29 assisted blocks. Tyler Postma averages 7.70 assists per set and has seven solo and 25 assisted blocks and he averages 1.62 digs per outing. Austen Scammon leads the team with 3.28 digs per set.

Dordt averaged 9.89 kills per set and allow 12.76.  Dordt gets 1.93 points per set on blocks and allow 1.67. Teams have 69 ace serves against the Defenders and Dordt has 42 aces this season.


Dordt will host Viterbo on Wednesday, March 20 and Ottawa on Thursday, March 21. The busy stretch continues with a 12:00 match against Park on Saturday, March 23.


Dordt and Judson have not played yet this season while Dordt beat Viterbo 25-11, 25-14, 25-21 on February 9. Ben Tiemersma had 11 kills and Garrett Vander Zee added six kills. The Defenders had four ace serves in the win and recorded eight points on blocks. Viterbo was limited to a -.144 kill efficiency in the loss with Nonn getting eight kills and Kahler had seven.  Viterbo had three service aces but was done in largely due to 35 attack errors.
