Dance Team Has Scholar-Athlete Pair

(Tuesday, March 12; Sioux Center, Iowa) The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced 79 competitive dance student-athletes have been named 2019 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

Paige Beyer (Junior; Otley, Iowa) and Martina Hoogland (Senior; Sioux Center, Iowa) have both been included on the list.

Beyer earns the honor for the first time and is studying Education at Dordt while Hoogland is on the list for the second time in her career and is a Social Work major.

In order to be nominated a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
