(Wednesday, February 20; Sioux Center, Iowa) Danielle Vande Voort, a senior at Pella Christian High School (Iowa), has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the volleyball program.

Vande Voort has played middle blocker for the Eagles and is listed 6-0.  She averaged 1.94 kills per set and averaged just under a block per set.  Vande Voort earned all-conference honorable mention honors in 2018.

"Danielle is a long, explosive athlete with great attributes for volleyball greatness ahead of her. She will bring depth to our middle and right side positions while she develops into the tempo of our college game.  We are grateful to coach John Evenhouse for helping Danielle develop her skills in all areas and prepare her for our program.  Danielle will be a blessing to our campus as she seeks to love the Lord and serve others," said Dordt volleyball coach Chad Hanson.

Danielle is the daughter of Rich and Deb Vande Voort from Leighton, Iowa.  She plans to study Nursing at Dordt.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
