Defender Women Learn Post-Season Fate

(Wednesday, February 27; Sioux Center, Iowa) For the first time in program history the Dordt Defender women’s basketball team has qualified for the NAIA Division II National Championship field.

The Defenders grabbed an at-large berth into the 32-team field with a 20-11 record.

Dordt will face Indiana Northwest on Wednesday night, March 6 at 7:00 pm at the Tyson Event Center in Sioux City, Iowa.  The Defenders are seeded fourth in the eight-team Liston Bracket quadrant and Indiana Northwest is fifth.  The number one seed in the Liston Bracket is Southeastern (Florida).

Dordt is one of six GPAC teams in the field joining Concordia, Dakota Wesleyan, Northwestern, Hastings and Morningside.
