Cross Country Teams And Runners Honored

(Thursday, February 14; Sioux Center, Iowa) The 2018 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Association (USTFCCA) has announced its All-Academic honors for the 2018 cross country season.  Dordt had 11 runners on the list who met the qualifying standard of a cumulate 3.25 grade point average and competing at the NAIA Championships.

27 athletes earned a perfect cumulative 4.0 GPA and three of them were from Dordt.

Dordt’s honorees:

Chris Ellens (Sophomore; Business Administration)

Eric Steiger (Freshman; Engineering)

Davis Tebben (Freshman; Engineering)

Lance Van Zee (Freshman: Business Administration)

Nic Veldhorst (Freshman; Business Administration)

Erin Bandstra (Junior; Social Work)

Olivia Couch (Junior; Individual Studies)

Sienna De Jong (Sophomore; Biology)

Tiana Schroeder (Freshman; Exercise Science)

Danielle Van Zanten (Sophomore; Elementary Education)

Sarah Wensink (Senior; Health Human Performance)

68 teams were also accorded All-Academic honors by posting a cumulative 3.0 GPA.  Both Dordt’s women and men earned the honor with the men posting a 3.5 GPA and the women 3.59.  Both teams are coached by Nate Wolf.
