Dance Team Adds Rothmeier

(Thursday, December 6; Sioux Center, Iowa) Ashley Rothmeier, a senior at Cedar Mountain High School (Minnesota), has announced her intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender dance program.

Rothmeier earned a varsity letter with the Cedar Mountain dance team and she also has competed with "Just for Kix" and has earned several top-three finishes at various regional competitions.

“We are very excited to have our first dancer sign for the 2019-2020 school year. Ashley is a very sweet girl that comes from a strong Just for Kix program and school dance team in Minnesota where she performed numerous kick routines with her team. We are very excited to have her join the Dordt community and be a part of Defender Nation!” said Dordt College coach Mel Knobloch.

Ashley is the daughter of Tom and Alice Rothmeier of Clements, Minnesota.  She plans to study Agriculture and Psychology.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). 

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine,, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
