Four Volleyball Players Named Scholar-Athletes

(Monday, December 3; Sioux Center, Iowa) The NAIA released the 2018 Daktronics NAIA Women’s Volleyball  Scholar-Athletes for the recently completed season.  Four Dordt Defenders are on the list that includes 597 total-student athletes.

Julia Lindbergh (Senior; Margate, Florida), Leah Kamp (Tinley Park, Illinois), Jamie De Jager (Senior; Sioux Center, Iowa) and Ema Altena (Senior; Sioux Center, Iowa) are on the list from Dordt.

All four are repeat honorees.  Lindbergh and De Jager are both Education majors and Kamp and Altena study Health and Human Performance and Psychology respectively.

In order to be nomintated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director ad student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended two full years as a non-transfer or one full year as a transfer.
