Softball Has Four Scholar-Athletes

(Wednesday, May 30; Sioux Center, Iowa) The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced 466 women's softball student-athletes have been named 2018 Daktronics-NAIA Women's Softball Scholar-Athletes. Dordt College had four athletes earn the honor.

Corinne May (Senior; Sioux Center, Iowa) earns the honor after graduating and studying Health and Human Performance. Krista Bousema (Senior; Sheldon, Iowa) is also a repeat selection and graduated earlier this month after studying Criminal Justice.

Marlia Mundorf (Junior; Griswold, Iowa) and Tianna Top (Junior; Edgerton, Minnesota) both claim the honor for the first time in their careers. Both are studying Education at Dordt College.

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.
