GPAC Track Championships This Weekend

The Defender track and field team will be at the GPAC Championships on Friday and Saturday, May 4 and 5. This year’s event is hosted by Morningside at Olsen Stadium.

The Dordt women finished fourth with 97.5 points while Doane won it with 217 points. Miranda Velgersdyk won the 400 and was part of a 4x400 team that claimed the title as well.

The Dordt men finished sixth last season with 72 points while Doane won the event with 219 points.  The Defenders were 12 points out of fifth place.


As athletes qualify for the NAIA National Championship at Gulf Shores, Alabama from May 24-26 we will note those performances here.
