Jamestown def. Dordt 3-0 (25-16, 25-20, 25-21)
THE DETAILS
Dordt was swept by conference rival Jamestown on Tuesday night in Jamestown, North Dakota. Dordt was down 13-12 in set one and surrendered five points in a row before falling 25-16.
The Defenders battled in set two and led 17-15 after an attack error by the Jimmies. A 7-0 run followed for Jamestown and Dordt only got as close as 23-19 before losing 25-20.
Dordt was down in set three 14-10 but got back to within 20-19 but the Defenders couldn’t turn the corner and fell 25-21. Three points in a row put Jamestown up 23-9 in the final moments and Dordt got no closer than three.
Caleb Kulesza led Dordt with 13 kills and Boris Le had 14 assists.
Andres Guzman seven digs for Dordt.
Dordt had 27 kills and a .089 kill efficiency while Jamestown had 40 kills and a .224 kill efficiency.
Both teams had seven points on blocks and Dordt had one ace serve to four for the hosts.
Dordt is now 3-6 overall and 1-2 in the GPAC. Jamestown is 5-1 and 3-0.
