Olivet Nazarene def. Dordt 9-2


A five run fourth inning by Olivet Nazarene pushed the game out of reach and the Tigers took a 9-2 win from the Dordt Defenders on Tuesday afternoon in Tucson, Arizona.

Olivet Nazarene scored on in the first, five in the fourth and another in the fifth to lead 7-0 before Dordt got on the board.

Emma Veenstra and Hannah Sikkema delivered singles with runners in scoring position to get Dordt two runs in the sixth inning but Olivet Nazarene answered that pair of runs with a pair of their own and took the 9-2 win.


Dordt was outhit 14-8 and didn’t help its cause with three errors.

Jessica Flaherty and Erin Bredemus each had a pair of singles and Hannah Sikkema and Emma Veenstra both knocked in a run.

Natalie Fopma took the loss and allowed nine runs—five of them earned, walked one and struck out two.
