The Dordt University men's golf team finished the final day of the Siouxland Invitational in sixth place out of 14 teams. The Defenders went into day two in fifth, but Northwestern's second team bumped Dordt out of the top five.
Tuesday's round was held at Landsmeer Golf Club in Orange City, IA.
Freddy Bullock stayed consistent and shot 73 to finish with a two day total of 146 and tied for 13th place.
Ryan Feauto shot 76 at Landsmeer for a two day total of 149. Dustin Widman improved on day two with a 79. Ryan Fedders shot 81 and Jared Van Elburg shot 85. Dordt finished the two days with a total score of 610.
Morningside won the event with a total score of 568. The Mustangs shot 286 on day two. Morningside's Torben Boeger posted a 136 to win the tournament.
Doane shot 290 at Landsmeer and it was good enough to put the Tigers in a tie for second place with Dakota Wesleyan and an overall score of 579. Northwestern's first team took fourth with a 583 and the Red Raiders second team shot 598 over the two days to earn fifth.
Northwestern's Brock Murphy shot 65 on day two to go with his 73 at the Ridge and took second place.
Dordt's 14 other players entered in the tournament had numerous strong performances. Logan Visser and Brandon VandeGriend each finished the tournament with a two day total of 156. Trenton Ribbens, Blake Harmsen and Tyler Smith were close behind all with 158.
