The Dordt College softball team lost 9-0 to Northern State to round out their South Dakota road trip.

The Defenders only managed one hit in the loss. 

Northern State scored four runs in the bottom of the first to take the early lead. Three runs came in the second and two in the third. Dordt couldn't get anything going and the game ended in the fifth due to the mercy rule.

Three Northern State players had two hit games and Jen Martin had five RBI. 


Marlia Mundorf started on the mount for the Defenders and gave up seven earned runs. 

Natalie Vos had the only hit for the Defenders. 


Dordt will play MidAmerica Nazarene March 1 in Olathe, Kansas at 4:00 p.m.
