The Dordt College men's hockey team suffered a 6-1 loss to Nebraska on Friday night. 

The Huskers' Cody Walters struck three minutes into the first period to break the 0-0 deadlock. Alex Robb scored 15 minutes later to give the Huskers the 2-0 lead. Two more goals came for the Huskers in the last two minutes of the opening period courtesy of Evan Johnson and Jordan Hank. 

Chris Hysack scored the first goal of the second period with seven minutes left. The lone Dordt goal was scored by Drew Vruegdenhil with one minute to go and cut the Blades deficit to four. 

Hank struck a second time late in the third to give the Huskers the 6-1 victory. 


Bryce Andry was in net for the Blades and he had 28 saves. 

Colin Price and Jaren Brue had the assists on the Vruegdenhil goal. 


Dordt will face off against Nebraska tomorrow at home at 1:00 p.m.
