THE MEET

The Dordt College women finished 16th in the NAIA National Championship Meet hosted by Mount Mercy at Seminole Valley Park in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Dordt’s Annechiena Knevelbaard claimed All-American statsu with an 11th place finish to lead the Dordt effort.

The Defenders totaled 478 points and finished 13 points out of 17th and they were in front of Point Park by two points.

Knevelbaard ran 17:49 for the 11th place finish. Abba Shields from Point Park won the race in 17:16. 

Oregon Tech won the team title with 125 points and Madonna was second with 132.

The race was run with winds from 10-15 mph and temperatures in the low 30s.

341 runners competed in the race.

36 teams competed for the title.
